is a Japanese politician of the Liberal Democratic Party, a member of the House of Representatives in the Diet (national legislature).

A native of Kawaguchi, Saitama, Shindo was born on 20 January 1958.〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://www.ourcampaigns.com/CandidateDetail.html?CandidateID=178054 )〕 His mother, Takako Shindō was a daughter of Tadamichi Kuribayashi, a general of the Imperial Japanese Army. He studied literature at Meiji University and graduated in 1981.〔
